Why do people have family portrait taken? I believe there are two main reasons.
- Preserve the memory of the family for the future.
- Decorate their home with images of people they love.
We realize it is extremely important to preserve those memories as often as possible. We also realize that these portraits will be the things future generations will treasure from their family history.
Masterpiece Images works very hard to keep prices low at the same time offering the highest quality images and printing. What good is a great image if it doesn’t last?
Our printing process is the most archival process available for printing portraits. Our prints will last 120 years before they start to degrade. The process most photographers use will last between 60 to 80 years. If a photographer only offers a disc of the images it will last 5 to 15 years.
Most people I talk to tell me it is a lot of work to get the family ready for family portraits. I have also heard stories of a family going through all that work and then not even ordering any images because they didn’t look good. Unfortunately, it is usually several years later that a new portrait is taken and those end up being lost memories because of a bad photographer.
Masterpiece Images has years of formal training and experience. We are able to guarantee good results. The time and money you put into your portrait session will not be wasted.
Here are some things you may want to do to prepare for your family session:
- Let us know about your family
- Let us know how many people are in your group
- Call for an over the phone clothing consultation
- Arrive at least 5 minutes early so we can have your full amount of time
- Set up your preview session within the week after the session
